The York County Department of Parks and Recreation offers a wide variety of programming throughout the year highlighting the area’s cultural, historical and natural history.  Programs range from Family Camp-Out Nights, Fox Story Times, Reptile Week, and Porch Talks at the train stations to citizen science programs such as the Backyard Bird Count.

The most popular program offered each year is the annual Christmas Magic: Festival of Lights which begins on November 27, 2020 . Tens of thousands of York County residents come to the event for its magical displays of lights.  Christmas Magic is just one of many educational and recreational opportunities available to people of all ages and interests.

For all progams and events, please bring a mask to wear and prepare to social distance.  Thank you for your cooperation!
