The Pleasant Acres Nursing & Rehabilitation Center operates under the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania as a long term care facility. Our facility is among the largest and finest county nursing homes in the Commonwealth with a bed capacity of 375 skilled-nursing beds, and 32 independent-living beds. The mission of Pleasant Acres is to provide to the citizens of York County a long term care facility that maintains the highest level of resident care available and encourages each resident to achieve the fullest use of their mental, physical, spiritual and social capacities.

The actual management of Pleasant Acres is the responsibility of a licensed Nursing Home Administrator. However, all matters of policy and major improvements must be approved by the York County Board of Commissioners, who retain ultimate responsibility and authority.
Pleasant Acres Nursing & Rehabilitation Center has assumed a progressive role in geriatric education and training. It is among the health care facilities approved for Nursing Assistant Certification training. Pleasant Acres is committed to continuous training for its employees. Volunteers, both individuals and groups, are an integral part of the facility operation. The Pleasant Acres Auxiliary has actively supported the facility for many years providing for the needs of our residents and staff.
