New Substance Treatment Halfway House Opening for York and Adams County Medical Assistance HealthChoices recipients.
The Gaudenzia Integrity House is located at 1141 E. Market St., York, PA and is licensed by the Department of Drug and Alcohol Programs as a Halfway House, Level 2B, with a bed capacity for 16 substance abusing men. The program will provide comprehensive recovery support services that are integrated with housing and treatment to help the men attain the goals of greater self-sufficiency and economic independence. Integrity House recognizes that the key to obtaining self-sufficiency is for the consumers to stabilize their health, gain sobriety and obtain employment in a supportive drug and alcohol free environment. The program provides a sober and supportive environment, integrated treatment in combination with wrap around recovery support services in assisting consumers with finding and securing employment and housing. The primary population are residents of York and Adams counties and enrolled in Medical Assistance.
Persons appropriate for the Halfway House:
- Must have a PCPC, recommending this level of care,
- Can be transitioning from Non-Hospital Rehabilitation, Hospital Rehabilitation or Non-Hospital Detoxification, Hospital Detoxification.
- Some persons may be appropriate for the Halfway house as a step up from Intensive Outpatient or Outpatient Substance Treatment, but must meet PCPC and will be reviewed on individual basis.

Recovery House/Bridge Support Subsidy Program
The York/Adams HealthChoices Management Unit (HCMU) is soliciting applications from Recovery House Providers interested in working with The York Adams HealthChoices Management Unit in a reinvestment project for both York and Adams County Medical Assistance members who utilize Recovery House facilities. These funds known as the Bridge Support Subsidy/Recovery House Funds are to assist HealthChoices Medical Assistance Members with funds to offset Room and Board for approved members in a Recovery House.
The York/Adams HealthChoices Management Unit desires to identify Recovery House providers who are interested in working with us and are willing to meet Recovery House Standards in order to receive subsidies for persons in recovery or “members”.
