Wildlife Art Class Coming March 9

The York County Department of Parks and Recreation is sponsoring a wildlife art class in March.

The class will be held from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. on Saturday, March 9 in the Nature Center at Richard M. Nixon County Park in Springfield Township.

Taught by artist and Parks volunteer Teanna Byerts, the students will combine nature and the love of drawing.

The class emphasizes basic shapes, detailing and sketching. Students will have a chance to use the natural history collection at the Nature Center for reference, as well as other subject matter. Students will receive basic sketch/drawing supplies.

These programs are appropriate for students between the ages of 9 and 12. There is a $10 fee for participation and registration is required.
