Volunteers to Assist with Income Tax Forms and More

AARP volunteers in February, March and early April will be available to help York County seniors complete their income tax returns and certain other forms. Volunteers can assist with a number of different forms and returns, including federal income tax returns, Pennsylvania income tax returns and the Pennsylvania Rent and Property Tax Rebate form. The assistance will be provided at 15 sites throughout York County and is availableto residents age 60 or older. Homebound people should make arrangements to have someone bring their paperwork to any of the scheduled appointment sites. Appointments are required and are available only during select times. Interested parties should call (717) 771-9042 to schedule an appointment at five of the 15 sites.

These site locations and the hours available for appointments are:

  • York County Area Agency on Aging, 100 W. Market St. in York City, Mondaysfrom 8:30 until 11:30 a.m.
  • Messiah United Methodist Church, 1300 N. Beaver St. in Manchester Township,Tuesdays from 8:30 a.m. until 2 p.m.
  • York Alliance Church, 501 Rathton Road in York City, Wednesdays from 8:30a.m. until 12:30 p.m.
  • Aldersgate United Methodist Church, 397 Tyler Run Road in York Township, Saturdays, March 10 and March 24 only, from 8:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. on bothdays.
  • Grace United Methodist Church, 473 Plank Road in Shrewsbury, Mondaysfrom 8:30 a.m. until 1 p.m.
