Property tax penalty lifted

The penalty has been waived on all county real estate tax bills this year if paid by Dec. 31, 2020.

admin night

The York County Commissioners on April 29 passed a resolution which waived the penalty on the county portion of property owners' real estate tax bill if paid in full by Dec. 31, 2020. This includes regular and interim tax bill.

A 10 percent penalty will be assessed on any real estate taxes that remain unpaid after Dec. 31, 2020.

Property owners can pay the county portion of their real estate taxes by mail or in person. The York County Treasurer's office is on the first floor of the York County Administrative Center, 28 E. Market St., York, PA 17401.

For questions regarding the municipal amount due, please contact the York County Treasurer’s Office at 717-771-9667. The County cannot accept partial payments on any real estate tax bill.

Questions regarding tax payments for municipalities, which the Treasurer’s Office does not collect for, should be directed to the elected or appointed tax collector for the municipality. Their contact information can be found here.
