County Issues Disaster Declaration For Incoming Snowstorm

The York County Board of Commissioners today approved a declaration of disaster emergency for the County.

The declaration authorizes county officials to take immediate action to address community needs related to the incoming snowstorm.

For example, the declaration allows the county to rent equipment, hire temporary staff and bypass the time-consuming bidding process normally necessary to enter into contracts. The goal is to allow county officials the ability to act quickly to address needs throughout the county.
