Children’s Fair, Motorcycle Ride & Chicken BBQ on July 25

A bounce house, carnival games, face painting, sand art and reptile show are just a few of the family-friendly activities that will be featured during the first York County Children’s Fair on Saturday, July 25.

The event will be offered from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Hellam Fire Company #21, 163 E. Market St, in Hallam.
The fair is organized by York County CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) with the support of sponsoring partners Stambaugh Law, P.C. and Perdue Farms.

In addition to the wide variety of fun activities, the fair will feature an opportunity to learn about local resources and services for children and their families.

The event will also feature:

  • A child abuse prevention motorcycle ride hosted by the Iron Order Motorcycle Club. The ride includes a 2 ½-hour scenic ride through the county’s back roads. The cost is $15 for a single rider and $25 for doubles, and includes a free chicken barbeque dinner at the conclusion of the ride.
  • Silent auctions held throughout the day. Items include Fulton Theatre admission tickets, Temple University football tickets, a Carhart jacket, two packages to Roundtop Mountain Adventures, a family party package to Laser Alley Family Fun Center and more.
  • A chicken barbeque beginning at noon until sold out. The cost is $8.

All proceeds from the day’s events benefit the child abuse and neglect prevention services provided by York County CASA. For more information on the Children’s Fair, motorcycle rally, or Chicken BBQ contact Dewayne Nichols at (717) 771-9754.
