Learn About Bees At Nixon park
- Published on: 7/25/2014
The York County Department of Parks and Recreation will present “Understanding the Bee Swarm” from 2:30 p.m. until 4 p.m. on Sun., July 27 at Richard M. Nixon County Park in Springfield Township.
Bee specialist Jeremy Barnes will create a swarm to help participates understand this seldom-seen event in a beehive life. Swarm bees, though docile during this process, will be actively flying around in search of their queen. Participants will be able to get up close to the bees and have their questions answered.
The program is free and registration is not required. Call the Nature Center at (717) 428-1961 for more information.
