Enjoy A Moonlight Boat Ride At Kain Park

The York County Department of Parks and Recreation for the 36th summer will host Moonlight Boat Rides on Lake Redman at William H. Kain County Park.

This program provides both education and fun during an evening under the stars and moon. Participants OwlMooncan use their own boat or a county-owned boat.

Participants during the first 1½ hours of each program will explore the lake on an unguided boat ride. Then, York County Parks Program Coordinator Jeri Jones will meet participants on the lake and discuss constellations, planets and the moon during a 30-minute guide around the sky. Afterwards, participants will return to shore for refreshments.

The program is $30 per couple for those using a County-owned boat, or $20 per couple for those that use their own boat. Each additional person is $5.00.

Participants must bring their own flashlights for their boat. All other equipment is furnished.
