Help Recognize Military Veterans On Memorial Day

The York County Department of Veteran Affairs and the York County Commissioners invite military veterans, their friends, family and the public to the annual York County Memorial Day Ceremony on Monday, May 26 at 11 a.m. at Veterans Memorial Park in York City. The ceremony will recognize local military veterans for their service to our country.

Pennsylvania State Rep. Kevin Schreiber will be the keynote speaker. The ceremony will include the placing of MemDaywreaths on a memorial for deceased York County veterans, a salute to all U.S. veterans and conclude with TAPS and the firing of the volley.

“This event is an important tradition for York County,” said Phillip Palandro, director of the York County Department of Veteran Affairs. “We take great pride in recognizing the men and women of the United States Armed Forces for their selfless commitment to our freedom.”
