The mission of the York County Office of Communications is to improve and maintain effective lines of communication between York County government, employees and the public.

The Communications Office helps ensure a comprehensive awareness and understanding of the County of York by providing timely, accurate, relevant, proactive information to the residents, employees and visitors of the county. Our main functions include:

  • Public Information
  • Community relations
  • Special Projects & Events
  • Media relations

The Communications Office interacts with members of the media, generates press releases, arranges press conferences, ceremonies and special events and coordinates the maintenance of the county's official website.
