Raising awareness of officers killed in the line of duty
This year, Detective Chad Moyer of the Springettsbury Township Police Department and Detective Paul Pelaia of the York County District Attorney’s Office will be participating in the Police Unity Tour.
The purpose of the Police Unity Tour is to raise awareness of the ultimate sacrifice made by so many law enforcement officers. This May, we will bike several hundred miles from Asbury Park, New Jersey to Washington D.C., with the last leg ending at the National Law Enforcement Memorial.
Each officer participating in the tour is required to ride in the honor of a fallen police officer. This year we will be riding in honor of Officer David D. Tome of the Northern York County Regional Police Department and Deputy United States Marshal Christopher Hill.
The detectives are selling T-shirts in an effort to raise funds for the tour. All proceeds from the sales will be made to the Police Unity Tour to benefit the National Law Enforcement Memorial.
To order a T-shirt please click here.
If you so choose to order a shirt, please place your department (or if a civilian resident, your address) in the provided box so the detectives will be able to deliver it to you.
Thank you for your support!
*** PLEASE NOTE: T-shirts ordered by York County residents can be delivered to their respective addresses; otherwise, the detectives will contact those who ordered and coordinate a pickup. ***
