Court Appointed Special Advocates
The mission of the York County Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) Program is to advocate for what is in the best interest of abused and neglected dependent children in the York County court system. CASA is comprised of volunteers who are selected, trained, and guided to help these vulnerable children.
Divorce Hearing Officers
The Divorce Hearing Officers Office is part of the Family Law Division of the Court of Common Pleas. Hearing Officers are appointed by the court to conduct hearings and make recommendations in divorce cases where the parties have been unable to resolve issues involving fault divorce, irretrievable breakdown of the marriage, distribution of property, alimony, or related economic claims.
The Domestic Relations Section is the Agency in York County responsible for all matters involving the establishment of paternity for children born outside of marriage and the establishment and enforcement of financial and medical support of spouses and/or children.
York County Department of Probation Services strives to achieve excellence in community corrections by providing the highest quality services to the courts, victims, offenders, their families, and our community. This vision will be achieved through evidence-based interventions that demonstrate a balanced approach between treatment and law enforcement.
Protection From Abuse Office
Advocates provide options counseling, safety planning and assistance for those people seeking a PFA, PFI or SVP. Assistance includes, but isn’t limited to, scribing to complete the required paperwork, providing support through the filing process and providing support at hearings. While assistance is provided, advocates do not provide legal advice.
