York County's senior community centers serve as places where older persons may come for fellowship and activities. Senior centers help to provide companionship, enhance the dignity of older adults, support their independence, and encourage involvement in and with the community.
Senior centers provide a nutritious meal served at noon and daily programmed activities. All senior meals follow the PA Department of Aging Nutritional Guidelines. The activities and programs include movies, games, sports, educational events, crafts, music and trips to places of interest and fun. All centers also engage in fundraising activities.
