The Medicare Savings Program (Healthy Horizons) helps eligible elderly and disabled Pennsylvanians pay for some or all of Medicare's premiums. It may also pay for deductibles and coinsurance for people with Medicare and limited income and resources. Many people use the extra money to help pay for living expenses or prescription drugs. Answer the following questions to determine if you qualify.
- Do you have Medicare Part A and are eligible for Medicare Part B?
- Are you an individual with a monthly income of less than $1,469 or a couple with a monthly income of less than $1,980?
- Are you an individual with savings of $7,970 or less or a couple with savings of $11,960 or less? When figuring out your savings, do not include your home, car, burial plots, or irrevocable burial reserves.
